Built in 1958 with a new classroom building added in 2002, the school's appearance is pleasing and inviting. Students feel proud of their school and contribute to its cleanliness.
Providing safe and well-maintained schools is a top priority for the school district. To ensure that all classrooms and facilities are maintained in a manner that supports instruction, a scheduled maintenance program is administered by the district.
Our school has pleasant outdoor learning areas such as a lawns with shade trees and a bench, and large playground areas. Teachers have access to a centralized workroom, guided reading resource room, staff-development room, a multi-purpose auditorium, and a student workout room (sponsored by the San Diego Chargers). Improvements are underway with funding from Proposition S. Improvements completed include i21 technology in eight classrooms. Additional work will include i21 for the entire school, various other school-wide upgrades.
The school is conveniently located near the 805 and 94 freeways. Its proximity to nearby shopping centers and local development make it a true community school.
